The group IZVOR preserves and performs the traditional Balkan music, as part of national heritage of the Serbs, Bulgarians, Macedonians, Gorans, Greeks and Turks. Their interpretation of traditional songs is formed with experience in collecting of field musical recordings both in original town environments and in remote and inaccessible mountain areas, as well as with adopting of traditioanl knowledge directly form the masters of instruments in Macedonia (FYROM) and Greece, and by using original traditional instruments together with preserving the specific Balkan music scales. The songs are arranged according to the principles of rural treatment of instrumental section in some songs and arrangments of the non-istrumental songs in the outcome of the performer's personal affection.
