Violet Tears rose in 1998 from the ashes of three different dark music groups in the Bari area.
The group's members got together and clicked immediately.
After some serious, full-immersion jamming in the rehearsal room, the band immediately got some gigs: ticket sales rose steadily and audience interest in this new group grew sharply.
After two years of jamming and doing gigs together, Violet Tears recorded a debut MCD made up of six songs. Thanks to excellent reviews, the project got signed to American label The Fossil Dungeon that finally released the band?s debut 'Cold memories & remains' in 2006.
«Fragments of Broken Dreams», excellently reviewed in Europe and Italy, has been produced from the Italian label Anaemic Waves Factory in a limited edition of 100 copies only, which quickly sold out.
During 2006 the first full length album of Violet Tears, «Cold memories & remains», has been published from the American label The Fossil Dungeon and the band recorded a new work, called «Breeze of Solitude».
After the death of Fossil Dungeon, Violet Tears now release their new album for the acclaimed Italian label ARK Records.
The “Tears” published «Breeze of Solitude» in November 2007.
The combo is actually composed by Carmen De Rosas (voice), Claudio Contessa (voice, guitars and bass), Claudio Cinnella (guitars, bass, keyboards, synths, piano & programming) and Gianluca Altamura (drums and programming).
Nine pearls of cold and romantic melodies comes to you accompanied by incessant tapping of the rain as melancholy and incurable breeze of solitude that the olive trees secretly let dance.
First 1000 copies comes in digipak with 16 pages booklet.
